You can make a difference by investing in your YMCA. Pairing the YMCA’s resources with community needs allows you our donors, to give to programs and services that matter most to you --- causes that are close to your heart.

Change a Life – Annual Scholarship Campaign

A little goes a long way to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities …
• $110 allows a child to enjoy one week of summer camp.
• $75 builds a young person’s self esteem by joining a youth sports program
• $39 provides a one month membership for an active older adult

Donors can designate gifts to programs benefiting: after school, at-risk youth, day camp, wellness, pre-school or youth sports.

Building Community ….One Family at a Time – Building Campaign

For over 58 years, the Anderson Area YMCA has changed lives by providing programs and services where they are needed most.

Building Campaigns allow the YMCA to expand its reach and multiply the impact of its programs and services. Expansions or renovations of existing facilities and/or the development of new facilities ensure that the YMCA is ready to meet the ever changing needs of our community.

Our current campaigns include expansion projects at both the Family Wellness Center and Ducworth/Tucker Sports Park. A new water park at the Family Wellness Center is slated to open Summer 2007 and additional fields and parking are part of a master plan to expand Ducworth/Tucker Sports Park. Pledges to these campaigns can be made over a period of five years.

The YMCA has lasted in a world where so much comes and goes. It is stable, values based, professionally managed, in touch with public sentiment, and capable of meeting the changing conditions and needs of the future.

The YMCA is a gift that we have received – that was already here when we were born. It is a gift that we should give to those still unborn to perpetuate values that really matter.

Many friends of the YMCA are helping to extend its influence beyond their own lifetimes with gifts of assets they have accumulated. Such gifts can be directed to support the overall work of the YMCA or can be designated to support a specific program.
